Sr 1: Web Application Developer (PHP)

The developer will be required to work on customization, integration and development projects for large corporations that bank on open source technologies to scale their applications. The applicant should have sound understanding of latest web techniques along with knowledge of older web technologies.

Additional capabilities on any UNIX scripting language like PERL/Python will be a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Working as part of a team to develop, test and maintain multi-tier enterprise applications.
  • Supporting the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical application requirements.
  • Participating in implementing the technical infrastructure.
  • Coding and testing program modules that meet design specifications
  • Develop the applications inline with our ISO 9001:2000 and PMP Processes.
Qualifications:
  • BS / MS in computer sciences. Intelligent dropouts are also considered.
  • Some kind of Microsoft Certification will be a plus

 
Skills Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing systems and using development methodologies for the web-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Track record of building systems in a data-driven manner using technologies such as XML.
  • In depth knowledge of the PHP programming language.
  • Commercial experience and proven track record in using LAMP technologies.
  • Experience using XML and web services.
  • Fundamental grasp of object-oriented design, multi-threaded programming and distributed systems in a real-time environment.
  • Experience/Knowledge of Apache web server and other open source technologies.
  • Should have worked on both Microsoft and Unix/Linux based we servers.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PERL/Python, Javascript a plus.
  • Should be able to work on AJAX/Web 2.0 at a preliminary level.
